Author's Response:Thank you! I definitely have days where all I want to read is pure fluff, so I completely understand. Being in a pretty sour mood at the time, I had an intense need to write something really happy where Buffy and Faith get together and Tara would still be alive, but to be honest, this whole plot never would've come to me had it not been for the Halloween contest ^^

It's always fun when Buffy's the one who makes the first move, too. Maybe it's that she knows how Faith really feels because of the tail but still. It's not everyday she makes a move by sitting on Faith's lap. lol

I mean, what if there was a demon out there that feeds off of unresolved sexual tension? Slayer HQ would be doomed! She's only looking out for everyone's safety ;D

This is brilliant! AFMAA, the B/F phone banter, Faith crushing a Trans Am, Willow and Tara dressing as Buffy, "Sexy... dog?" And we're off. That's a brilliant use of the tail: make Faith unable to NOT show what she's feeling. And the reveal of Tara's plan... you know, as teleportation accidents go, this one was a lot nicer than The Fly. :) Great work!

Sneaky witch!!! Really like that Faith's tail shows her emotions, especially her feelings towards Buffy, and an extremely glad that Buffy figured it out (with a bit of help from eavesdropping on Tara!)

This was incredibly sweet. And Tara... oh my Tara dying was like one of the top two biggest tragedies in all of BtvS, the second one was not having a lot more Faith in the series :P. Buffy shagging Spike was pretty traggic too. ANYWAY Tara is sneaky and sneaky lesbians can always be a force for good. It was about time someone intervened to get B and F together.. I mean even with the AU up to your imagination background it just seemed like that.
Glad Buffy got brave and decided to make a move. 'Bout time someone did.

Author's Response:Hehe, I agree with your list of BtVS tragedies. Fortunately (or not), I didn't watch the show until long after it was over, so I knew in advance that Tara was going to die and had time to prepare myself for it (as well as prepare myself for all the other things that happened in that season). Definitely still hurt though. I remember one episode (I think it was the one where her horrible family shows up) where Tara makes a bad joke in front of the Scoobies and no one laughs, but I was like "omg, Willow, your girlfriend is completely adorable!" Such a shame how Willow treated her though :c That honestly hurt almost as much as her death. I'd love for her to still be around post season 6, and for some dumb reason I have this headcanon where she'd ship Buffy and Faith together. I'm glad I was able to finally bring that to life in fanfic form c:
Anyways, I'm super glad you enjoyed! Even if I don't win, it was a lot of fun challenging myself to write this. I never imagined I would be able to write over 7000 words in 4 days and have it turn out well enough for a bunch of people to like it ^^

Faith with a dog's tail sounded so adorable. I laughed at the scenes where Faith's tail would wag whenever she looks at Buffy. So adorable. And Buffy was enjoying every moment of it. I guess I would take advantage of the moment too. I mean, how often can you see Faith's real emotion on display. So cute.
Tara was a sneaky little witch. I am not even angry. Nope! That was a fun read. Thank you :) Also, you should write more fluffly fuffy :D

It was so nice to be able to write some fuffy fluff. There's so much potential for angst with those two, it's great to just let them be adorable and in love without bringing up the pains of the past and all the other bad stuff. Author's Response:Hehe, believe it or not, I've never actually had a dog, I'm more of a cat person. Faith though, for some reason strikes me as more dog-like than cat-like. I think it's partly because of how loyal and protective she is of the people who care about her (first the mayor, then Angel). Anyways, I'm glad you enjoyed! This was definitely the fluffiest thing I've ever written, and I guess that research I did on dogs paid off! :D

This was excellent. Your characterization was beautiful. You took the tail challenge in a totally unexpected, and totally adorable, direction. It was so sweet, and I liked how it worked to make Faith's emotions more transparent and give Buffy more confidence.
I loved the little bit of Willow/Tara too, and devious Tara! Wonderful from start to finish. :)
Author's Response:*waves excitedly* First of all, thanks for approving me! *feels accepted* I honestly never would've come up with this story in a million years if you folks hadn't included the stipulation that the fic must use 1 of the 5 provided plot elements. That's what really helped spark the muse, I think. Anyways, I'm so happy you enjoyed it! I just couldn't resist the opportunity to embarrass the usually incredibly self-confident Faith, and from there the fluffiness practically wrote itself!
