yes please update this it is such a great story and so brilliantly written !
It's a real shame this story went unfinished. It had some good themes. Even if it skipped over technical rape much like the show did.

Well, its been a few years since the last update...
As for myself I had issues with how my browser displayed the text of the story, so had to read this over a few days time. Not reread, just read, as I've never seen it before. Along with ALOT of other stories around here. My main visits have been to `Wicked & Divine`, `Pink Rabbit productions`, `AFF.net` to name a few. Man, time flies...
That being said, right from the beginning I was pleased to find something different and over these chapters you've woven an image that fits the characters. It still feels like your 'Willow' is an accident waiting to happen, you could have a round-robin at Giles' where Tara and Anya air their thoughts about guilt and effort, and in canon F and B met the Angel crew when Faith fled, so with pieces shifted, I could see Angel, Cordy, and Wes coming up, and the Scoobs (really, us) gaining some insight into Faith's situation by Angel speaking about when `he` was freed once his soul was restored. Such as Giles; his memories of knowing the Monster who killed his Jenny wasis consigned to HELL along with that memory of Angel knocking on his door looking to ask for help during the Christmas ep.
Its still S4,, you've shifted stuff around, cool, but simply consider where they are now, and where you want them to be... and just get back to writing, please?

Woot! New chapter!
Enjoying the progression, kind of glad for lack of drama. I'd love for you to explain your thought process behind the Mayor's spell, if you feel so inclined. It seems like such a 'Mwa Ha Ha' classic evil villain move where the Big Bad has absolutely zero insight into the motivations of his minion.
Actually, maybe your Mayor is exactly that. lol
Again, though, what defines this story for me is the ability of the characters to sort the issue without resorting to brawling. One of the things that I absolutely *hated* about the Season 7 Faith episodes were that she took punches from Buffy without retaliation. That, to me, was bad writing for Buffy's character, even stressed as she was.

Yes!! Worth the wait. So lovely to have you're portral of Faith actually getting a word in to explain what she's feeling. And wonderful to read Buffy wanting to workout her feelings instead of shutting them out.

Very good chapter, things seem to be going well between them but I don't think everyone would be as keen on it as they were in the spell version.
Also what does Buffy and Faith think of themselves? I remember Willow being confused as hell about what her feelings for Tara meant for her, I wonder if Buffy or Faith will go through the same thing, I bet buffy would because her previous relationships were hetero, which will put her in the same boat as Willow, while Faith has only had sex with men, not romantic or emotional relationships, which doesn't contradict sexuality i.e someone can be gay and still sleep with the opposite sex, usually its a form of repression.

I thoroughly enjoy your setting, characters and pacing.
I certainly enjoy the depth of story here compared to canon S4, but I suppose the written word does enjoy certain perks over television as a medium of storytelling.
On a personal note, I thoroughly enjoy the lack of immature flare-ups that plague a lot of other stories. You always seem to neatly avoid that, and I appreciate it.
