But I love the story, and I loved this chapter! I'm wary of what Willow might try to do to 'fix' the situation, but I'm optimistic about what could happen between Buffy and Faith on their own. It's hard and it's confusing, but I'm hoping that they can get past it together. Love that Faith is being so gentle with Buffy. Makes my heart all squishy and happy. :p

I really love how they're drifting back together a little bit more with every chapter. I think that this story is really sweet but also has the right amount of angst thrown in for good measure.

Read all ten chapters in one go. I won't lie - I let out a rather explosive breath to see Buffy and Faith tentatively together again. Also hoping that the scene with Willow was for sounding board purposes and not Jerk!Magic!Willow foreshadowing.
Anyways; review! I love the pacing and characterizations. I also appreciate the measured level of angst, where people aren't slicing their wrists or chopping off heads. It feels like a genuine response to the spell, which makes this a wonderful read.

Love Faith taking the Intitiative (no pun indended) and going to see Giles. And the awkward coversation between him and Faith and then Willow was good- Giles defending her. Go Giles!
Buffy's conflicted thoughts are quite well realised- you really understand her anger, confusion and sorrow as she tries to reason through it all. Plus her wishing that all of it had been real. *sigh*
And then the Buffy/Faith scene...really heartbreaking. But also sweet and a little bit hopeful, they're talking after all. And there was a couple of 'I love you's' thrown around, which is a big thing for Faith.
Really enjoyed this chapter... But maybe don't leave me hanging so long next time, I'm begging here! :)

Nice chapter, its good that giles is being reasonable. While Riley was unpopular, try not to demonize him or make him out of character because that is usually the problem with some season 4 fics, they always make Riley an asshole when he was actually a very nice guy if kind of boring. Faith dealing with Buffy's absense and her own sense of loss was touching, Faith is still so confused/alone.
Also, lots of sympathy for Buffy, two sets of memories can be tough...as my own fic explores. (Plug!) Seriously, good Buffy POV.
Yay, Riley...actually acting not like a douche. I'm very pleased when writers treat him like an actual human person and not a caraciture. Faults yes, he isn't Buffy's true love or anything. But Buffy fell for him for a reason...
Still, it was nice to see him act all irrational, hurt and jealous. (Very Riley) And Buffy keeping her true, confused feelings from him is very Buffy-like.
Faith warning him, punching him and then humbling him was brilliant! Go Faith...
