that was a tough chapter! i knew faith wouldn't be able to live the lie! i feel bad for both girls, but bravo to faith for doing the right thing!

I feel so bad for Faith. Turns out she does have a conscience after all! Surprise, scoobs! I think even the Mayor would be a little bit surprised. Faith guilt tripping over having sex with Buffy because she knew Buffy's feelings for her weren't real... man she picked a hell of a time to grow a moral conscience. But of course I'm glad she has it. If she was just about exploiting the situation then she would come across as pretty despicable indeed, as opposed to sympathetic Faith.
Not hungry? After sex? Oh man she's seriously guit tripping. Especially since she went to Giles right after.
Well... I feel really really bad for Buffy. One last big F-U from the Mayor, and he used Faith as a pawn in the whole thing. Kinda messed up. But... kinda not if she ends up with the money anyway. That would sorta make up for it. Also, KO'ing Faith in one hit was kinda funny. Just had to say that.
Really looking forward to the next chapter. I'm especially curious to see how Buffy is going to react, though I think I can predict it. Anger, sadness, betrayal, etc... I know she'll eventually have to give Faith a break and talk to her. Totally wanna see how that would come about and why.
Also Faith though I think she will be predictable... feeling lost, despair, not knowing where to go/what to do etc... sad.
Can't wait for the next update. This is an exciting story and I hope you get inspired to write it quickly. lovin' it :)
Author's Response:Yeah, Faith has a conscience though it took doing something she regrets in order for her to listen to it. I don't think the Mayor expected her to have one either.
Both Buffy and Faith will have to overcome what the spell has done to them. Buffy does have a little more to deal with though, with the two sets of memories and having to deal with being the target of the Mayor one last time.

Author's Response:Yeah, she does the right thing but that won't win her any points with any of the gang right away. Especially not with Buffy for obvious reasons.
The Mayor definitely hated Buffy so I thought it would make sense that he would do whatever he could to make her suffer, even using Faith to do it.

Brilliant, but the short chapters and time between postings - whilst I fully understand - is killing me!
i want faith and Buffy together, but it also want to get to the part where the spell breaks, but I also love the ramp up in angst where faith starts to love and enjoy this fake world, before it's all taken away from her again... And I'm desperately looking forward to how you get from there back to a real version of this world...

I like a conflicted Faith, I really got her frustration over this situation.
Faith almost, almost turns Buffy down, I actually thought she was gonna spill the truth. Instead she gives in...not that I blame her, but how pissed is Buffy gonna be?
Like this chapter a lot, the story ticks along nicely.

I'm really liking this, a great idea that's well executed.
Will Faith screw things up (maybe...) or will the spell be broken somehow (I think so).
Buffy and Faith's interactions are believable within the context of the story, Buffy's suspicions (she's a smart girl!) and Faith's wariness of finding happiness.

Author's Response:Thanks! Yes, something will happen with the spell but I haven't completely decided yet on what. I wanted Buffy to have her suspicions since having her clueless wouldn't make much sense and Faith is a little self destructive.
