Date: 02/27/2014 Title: Chapter 1: Down the Rabbit Hole
I like the start to this! Buffy's all confused about what's going on but I like the fact that she doesn't completely go off on Faith. It's nice that they are civil to each other and that Faith gives her the rundown on everyone.
I think my favorite part is that Buffy didn't like that Faith didn't call her B.
Definitely looking forward to more chapters since I think I missed this one the first time around. :)

The interaction between Buffy and Faith is so enjoyable in this chapter. I like how easily they talk to each other. There's no misunderstandings or anything.
I love how Willow reacted to a different dimension Buffy and it was awesome that the first thing they did together was to scare Xander. It's great to read that they are accepting of her.
Definitely looking forward to reading more. I love how Faith and Buffy are getting along. :)

Wow, Buffy visiting her old house and then her grave was fantastic! It really showed some of her feelings about the fact she's alive when the other Buffy didn't get the chance to have someone revive her. I like that she has a little guilt over it. It's very in character.
It's fun to read how the scoobs just accept her as one of the gang and even gossip a little. I love Willow's take on Faith's relationship, too.
Really enjoyed this chapter!

I like that Buffy is honest with everyone about the fact that she likes where she is. She could've always lied but she didn't. I actually like how all of them aren't hiding anything huge.
Love that Buffy has an attraction to Faith that she hasn't admitted to herself yet. Very enjoyable read! :)

Nothing like a little awkwardness to start the day! Both on the dream side and that Buffy wakes up to Faith and Carly almost having a little morning sex.
It's interesting that it feels like Faith knows Buffy has a thing for her but won't say it. Can't wait until someone says it! :)

Love the shared dream with Buffy and her Faith. Very interesting detail that the shared dreams can go across dimensions and that Faith is really the voice of reason. I like that she made the point that maybe Buffy is needed in her own dimension.

Excellent start!
I really like the pace in this chapter. It feels like I've gotten up to speed on everything right along with Buffy. It's interesting how she reacts to everything. She keeps it together even though she really wants to find Faith and seems a little lost without her. That is one tough slayer.
Can't wait for the next chapter!

Thank you!! :) I wondered if it felt too rushed, but most people will have read Flowers and there's no need to play out the same scenarios over and over.
It's interesting that you say "tough" to describe her. When this was being beta'd that was the same comment I got, that Buffy was coming across very strong. I don't think I did it consciously. I just wanted her to be on par with the awesomeness of Alt Faith, and she came out as very together and in control. She'll have her moments though. She definitely is a little lost without Faith, as you said. :(

Okay, I read this when you sent it to me but finally have a chance to review. :)
I love that Buffy is set on seeing and talking to Faith, even though Willow tries to convince her not to. It shows her strength in that she's sticking to what she wants and she feels for Faith. Faith's reactions to everything felt very authentic, especially with how she reacts to this new Buffy.
Can't wait for the next chapter! I just really enjoy Buffy's reactions to all the people in this new-to-her dimension. :)

Thanks! Buffy is definitely her own person and not going to be bowed over by what the others here want I'm glad Faith felt in character. In a way the other story was easier to write because Buffy's distrust was so strong. Faith's feelings are more subtle and harder to pick apart. :p

The scene with the whole gang was just fantastic! It was great that especially Tara stood strong about her opinion with the spell. It felt like her words were key in the decision. Of course, Dawn was so moving. Loved her interaction with Buffy and that she didn't want to lose her again.
I don't know why Buffy's strength keeps surprising me but it does. I just love her strength, especially when it comes to Faith. No one's opinion changes how she feels about her and I love Faith's reaction to hearing the Buffy was in a relationship with Faith in the other dimension. "A little bit gay?" Loved it!

Tara should have been more firm with Willow on the show, I think, so I wanted to give her the opportunity to do it now. Poor Dawn is really having a terrible year, between finding out she's the key, almost dying, losing her mom, etc. If she's got a choice, I don't see how she'd be willing to let Buffy go, knowing it's dangerous and she could be left alone. :(
Buffy should ask Faith more about that little bit gay thing... ;)

So my boss keeps looking at me because I'm reading this on my phone and it's very clear I'm not working... so worth it! :)
I was wondering if Faith would point out that she's not the Faith Buffy loves. Their argument was so realistic! It makes me wonder if Buffy's going to back off and not be as insistent with her on what good she could do on the outside.
The fact Buffy is very strong willed about her feelings for Faith is so great to read. The way she stood up to all of them shows the strength she needs to make it in this new dimension without Faith. Even though how Willow refuses to see Buffy's side in going to the prison makes me want to dislike her, it's so true to her character that I just can't.

I dislike Willow, in canon and here, haha. To be fair though, she did lose canon Buffy, and she doesn't really understand Alt Buffy yet, and she does have legitimate reasons to dislike Faith. I don't think she's totally wrong in her points, although she presents them in a terrible way that doesn't help anyone.
I think next chapter should answer your questions about how they handle their argument going forward. :)

This definitely wasn't what I was expecting but it's a good surprise. :)
I like that they left each other alone over that period of time. It seemed lke they both needed that time apart, especially Buffy. She needed that time to realize her Faith is really gone. Buffy's reaction to what happened in LA is so realistic. She shows she still cares no matter what.
Very interesting big bad, Amy. Looking forward to see where you take this! :)

I think my favorite part about this chapter was Faith and Willow's time together. It was slightly awkward but there wasn't any yelling or accusations. They eve somewhat worked together which was an added bonus.
Having Faith at the house seems to be good for Buffy, too. It's great that at least Tara notices. In her own dimension Faith was her rock so maybe she'll fit that role again in some way.
Really like that they have all these new creatures to deal with. Looking forward to the next chapter to read how they deal with the burnbugs! :)

Hmm, it's interesting that you read F/W interactions as sort of positive. I guess it didn't feel that positive to me when writing it. I was going for a, Willow still hates her, but she's resigned to her presence, so not going to fly off the handle. She's just mostly going to ignore her. Haha.
Tara sees all. :) Tara has fulfilled some of that Buffy rockness in this dimension, especially with Willow living elsewhere, but Faith can only improve things.

First, yay for fuffy! :) Also, really loved that they kept it at going slow. Buffy showed some good sense in not going further even though it seemed like Faith was willing to go further.
The burnbugs are very interesting and I'm curious at what else Amy throws at them. Loved that Faith saved Buffy even while getting stung. All I thought was "aw, she really cares!"
Can't wait to read what's next! :)

To Buffy and to Tara, Faith saving her is meaningful and illustrates how good she is deep down, but of course Faith would give herself no credit. :( Credit to Spike, although he was skulking about, haha.

It's perfectly reasonable for Willow to not have gotten over the loss of her Buffy but using the spell? Bad Willow! It makes sense that her and Tara don't live together after that. How she reacts to Faith makes even more sense now.
I really like Dawn here. She's honest but comforting at the same time. And Buffy and Faith together are very cute! I like that they haven't jumped into anything too serious yet either. It increases the cuteness factor. :)

Thank you! :) She doesn't live with Tara also because Tara lives in Buffy's house. :P And Buffy probably doesn't want her living there after oh, sending her soul out of her body. Kind of an annoying thing for a roommate to do. :p

That conversation Buffy had with Spike was interesting. I like that Buffy cares more for Faith than she does for herself but she takes it further by telling someone to choose Faith. Really liked it.
Loved the fight! I don't think I've read many stories where Tara is as strong as you write her so it's very refreshing to read. She is stronger than she knows and I love that Faith sees that in her. I wonder if the events of the fight will steer Willow to have at least a tiny bit better view of Faith. She was part of the rescue team and all.

Tara is awesome! She didn't choose to use magic as freely as Willow, but she had been practicing a long time and had a lot of knowledge. I think when push comes to shove, she can hold her own. Especially for Willow. :)
Perhaps Willow may lighten up in future now. :)

Wow, that was an amazingly cute first date! The flowers, the nervousness, the go cart racing and especially the end... just cute!
This Buffy is really wise beyond her years. She's much better at reading people and reacting to what's happening without freaking out. Really loved how she talked to Faith when Faith put a stop to what they were doing. It shows a great deal of maturity.
So many little funny moments in this chapter. I was wondering how'd you use Marcie but I love her character here. Love all her comments with Faith!

I love Marcie too! I actually have an untold story of Marcie's background rattling around my brain, which I will hopefully write and publish later. Funny how minor characters suck you in.

I like that Faith is willing to hear Willow out. It's always great to read when Faith goes for a gut feeling, even if it might be an unpopular opinion. It does make me wonder how Buffy will react to the choice she made.

Yay for a new chapter! And it was definitely worth the weight!
First, great interaction between Willow and Faith about being judged on their pasts. It felt like a conversation that needed to happen with them in order for there to be any common ground.
I love Buffy's concern for Faith throughout the chapter. It's really what Faith needed especially once the clothes started to come off. Really liked how Buffy knew exactly what Faith needed to hear from her.

Buffy does say the right thing, but I think Faith's also matured in her time in prison. She can hear and accept love from other people with much more ease than she ever did before. So it's easier for all involved. :)

Wow! So much happened in this chapter!
I love how close Buffy and Faith are in this chapter. They really show a united front in making the decisions, even teaming up against Giles. It was great to read.
I have so many questions now! All of them seem to be in immediate danger and my mind keeping going over who might not survive. Also curious about what's going on with evil Willow.

Thank you! I loved that scene with Giles because this is a place where Buffy and Faith really get each other, when no one else, including the other versions of themselves, could. Buffy hasn't confided in anyone else here that she killed Finch, but the shared experience of being slayers who've taken human lives really bonds her with Faith. Faith is the only one who senses her grief at the idea of doing it again, and she responds to it by leaping to Buffy's defense. Gotta love her for it. Not that I think Giles was wrong to bring it up, because he has valid points also.

First, I loved the part where we get a glimpse of Amy's life as a rat. I'd always kind of wondered about that and especially liked the part with the kitten. The whole thing shows why she has an attachment to Willow.
I didn't think I would but I like Faith's belief in Willow, even when everyone else has doubts. It shows how much Faith has grown because she really could just take Buffy's side.
Only one more chapter? Sad! Can't wait to read how it ends! :)

Thank you! :) I think Faith knows what it's like to have no one believe you can be better, and she sympathizes with that. At the same time, she's also backing up Tara, because Tara believes in Willow absolutely, and Faith trusts Tara's instincts. I think it's really good for Faith that she can be vocal about her own instincts and have them be respected. Buffy believes in her so much that it helps her believe in herself.
Yep, just one more to wrap up the loose ends and answer some fuffy questions... :)

Yay for a happy ending! For a second I thought Faith would just back to prison and Buffy would be alone. So happy that wasn't the case. :)
It was interesting that the turning point for Faith changing her mind about prison was Lorne listening to her sing. Really enjoyed that! Then again, I loved every chapter of this one.
Can't wait to read anything else you come up with for these characters. :)

Thanks, Hayley! :) I did toy with the idea of Faith going back to prison for at least a while, but I felt like the two of them deserved a good end after I almost killed Faith and melted Buffy's eyes. :D I knew Angel had to be involved in Faith's decision because she looks up to him so much. Lorne's part just kind of happened but I was happy because I love Lorne. :) I hope I will do those couple of one-shots soon, but some other things are peaking my interest, so these may go on the back burner. :p We shall see!
