I was wondering how Scott was going to break up with her. It's fun to read how you're weaving the old scenes in with Buffy's new timeline. Her new attitude towards Faith is adding some great scenes to the chapters.

Yeah, Scott was always gonna dump her, even if she wasn't still hung up on Angel. Buffy just isn't destined for normalness- that's why we love her!
Added fuffy-ness makes any episode better in my opinion!

Loved the sleepover! Very cool to see Buffy be more open with Faith about what happened with Angel. It seems like that would help their friendship.
Really liked Joyce in this chapter, too. She seems to be the mother figure Faith might need later. Definitely keeping me interested with this one!

Yeah, the sleepover stuff was hard, kind of nerve-wrecking because it was a completly new scene. I'm glad you enjoyed it, I think I got Faith's reactions about right, she always seems very down-to-earth when it comes to all the mysticl soap-opera stuff.
And I always like writing Joyce, and she and Faith will have some nice interactions during the Christmas ep- coming soon...

Wow, kissing! I half expected Buffy to react like she did, especially given she's not used to those feelings. Looks like she hurt things with Faith though.
Loved all the fighting in this chapter, too! A fun read!

Buffy kisses girl, Buffy freaks, it kinda has to go that way in my opinion, at least at this point. But then again I think the only girl she would kiss at this stage of her life would be Faith, because of their connection.
But part of Buffy can't forget 'evil Faith', so I guess she has a real reason to freak on that occasion.
I do like writing the action stuff, a nice change of pace- glad you like.

It seems Buffy is making good positive moves in getting Faith to trust her, like being more open about all things Angel, but her feelings are complicating it. Definitely some drama there!

Yeah, Buffy's messy feelings for Angel will still be an issue in the coming chapters, even while she's exploring her feelings with Faith. Hence drama and complexity!

The scenes between Giles and Buffy and Faith and Buffy were easily my favourite to write, and probably the most rewarding too (very cathartic...)

Buffy is really using her knowledge to her benefit. Well, to the benefit of a lot of them. I like that she was able to sort out her college issues right away. Definitely helped her with Faith.
At least Spike's presence solved the problem of a possible love triangle. He definitely pointed out the problem Faith and Angel had with each other, regardless of what they said.

Thanks, Buffy had sort of resolved her college issues already so I didn't want to dwell, if she hadn't gotten involved with Faith it might've been a different story.
Yeah, Spike was there to cut through the bull yet again, and this time I had Angel do the cutting off, because he's the one who's come to the realisation first.
Fuffy Christmas is like real Christmas, only better!

Wow, for a minute I thought Faith would just stake Angel. She must really trust Buffy's reasoning for wanting him around and of course, she must have some strong feelings for Buffy, too.
I really like how you've set up everything for Buffy to defeat the First and I enjoyed the little warning it gave her. Definitely means more problems to come, right?
I hoped Buffy would be honest with Giles but I suppose the revelation will happen eventually. Great chapter! :)

Yeah, what I was going for was the discussion Buffy and Faith had the night earlier got Faith thinking- why is this guy worth it? Also about the 'choice' to do evil or good which is touched on in the series. But a lot of this is because she loves Buffy and for that reason didn't hurt Angel.
Oh, yes- a big plot hint that may sort of get resolved in the short term, but will have long term repercussions (he, he cryptic...)
The Buffy/Giles stuff will be explored much more fully in 'Helpless' and 'The Zeppo' both of which I'm working on now.
Thank you again- eagerly awaiting more 'Tricked' (...which is kind of a similar idea- only it's Faith who knows the truth. Huh, very cool)

Wow, Faith was really confident in getting Buffy that present! And she even used it in front of her. I wasn't expecting that but it was a nice surprise. :)
I love that Faith finally had a good Christmas and that it wasn't just Buffy that tried to make it that way. It was great to see that Joyce really played a part in that, too.
Really enjoyed the use of Faith's backstory, too. I was just paging through 'Go Ask Malice' yesterday while doing some writing of my own so it was fun to see you use it.
Very enjoyable chapter! Can't wait to read what comes next! :)

Yeah, Faith doesn't see sex as a big thing- I guess that might mean she's open to, um, unusual presents!
And I imagine Faith probably had her best Christmas (maybe she had a couple of good ones when she was really young and her Dad was still around, who knows?). And having seen how welcoming Joyce was in that short scene in 'Amends' I always imagine she would be a big part of any good experience- I'm glad you liked!
I got 'Go Ask Malice' for Christmas and I love it. It makes you feel for her character so much because you know about all the badness to come...but you also she her potential to be something really great and special. Just like Buffy.

The way Faith reacts is completely understandable given her trust issues but part of me was begging her to just listen to Buffy. At least she'll still trust Joyce. I hope anyway.
I'm surprised Travers managed to get out of that library without getting punched. Both of them had an amazing amount of restraint. And injuries, too.
Can't wait for the next chapter! Better times for Buffy and Faith, perhaps?

Yeah, Faith is really hurting, that's for sure. And her walls have gone back up, but they're not as strong as before. Maybe there's some hope for Buffy!
Travers got out because of the two girls being pretty injured mostly! If Faith had still had her abilities...he might've been in serious danger.
'The Zeppo''s turning into a pretty big chapter, and not at all like the actual episode- the focus is kind of on our two slayers and the apocolypse (Faith's first!)

Joyce is so wise! It feels like she might know there's something else going on but I do love that she decided to take Faith's side in order to make sure Faith knew someone cared.
It was interesting that Angel is one of the ones that gives Buffy the advice she needs to make up with Faith. He essentially told her to make sure Faith knew Buffy's true feelings and I loved that.
Faith came through in the end and they said they love each other. Now I wonder how Bad Girls is going to end up. Can't wait for the next chapter! :)

Yeah, this is certainly Joyce's moment. Her bonding with Faith certainly came to the fore. Their was probably some tears and cuddling off screen...
A lot of people know that Angel can be jealous of Buffy's love interests. But he can also be noble (has been to both Buffy and Cordy) and Mr. Do-the-right-thing. So I thought that he might give some advice. I think generally that he likes Faith by this point, which may've helped. Hence the sound advice.
Yeah, the love stuff...I thought it was appropriate for Buffy to say it. If she feels it she says it. Faith is a little more shy, but she's got big soppy feelings for Buffy. We'll see more of that in the next chapter.

You have no idea how relieved I am that Faith didn't end up killing the deputy mayor. Love that awkward laugh from Buffy, too. It seemed like a very realistic response.

Well, Faith's initial reaction to everything is definitely realistic but I'm happy she had a change of heart and went back to talk to Buffy. It really shows the person she'd become over the course of the redo year. At least she believed that Buffy loved her.
Really loved the fact that Faith stuck with her through the spell and that they were able to talk through everything. It makes me sad she had to go back. Well written chapter!

Ah, thank you. I wrote and rewrote Faith's reaction to the news about three or four times and went with what I thought was the best one. (More angry and betrayed that crying and regretful, which doesn't really fit her character.)
And I really needed her to come back so she and Buffy could 'part' on good terms. Knowing that it was all real for Faith was important.
Yeah, Faith sucking it up and helping out with the spell...tough, but I'm glad you liked it!

First, I really enjoyed this story from start to finish. It had everything I look for when I'm reading.
This one definitely had a bittersweet ending though and I'm very happy that there might be a sequel. I like that Buffy remembered everything from the spell so she maybe won't make the same mistakes again. I'm very curious at what Faith's reaction will be when she wakes up.

This was always Buffy's story. Her remembering everything from the wish is important and will lead to a few character changes in theSeason 4 sequel.
I'm actually quite looking forward to finally writing things from Faith's POV (even if it will be 'evil Faith' to begin with.) and other characters POV as well. Should be a fun challenge (fingers crossed that I don't mess up!)

That's an interesting start. I kind of like the fact that Buffy and Faith are living their own separate lives and they don't seem to have changed a whole lot since Sunnydale. You really have the mannerisms down.
Having this new slayer at the school, I'm assuming she's Faith's sister, seems like a good way to get Faith's attention. She also might be a good reminder of Faith for Buffy.

It's always a nice ending when Buffy comes to her senses and realizes that she wants to be with Faith and not anyone else. Also really enjoyed Faith telling Buffy exactly how she felt and then backed off. So grown up of her!

Wow, great chapter!
I think my favorite part was that Buffy had the courage to send that email to Dawn. It feels that it took a lot to send it and that she was able to admit that she's in love with Faith. Love that Dawn was so matter of fact about it, too.
