“Did you think I would take it badly?” Joyce asked. “Is that why you were afraid to tell me?”

It felt nice to see Joyce very supportive of Buffy's relationship with Faith. I knew you won't make her the antagonist in the story. But I liked how well she took the news. I for one didn't get to have as good a reception, so it makes me happy to see that our slayers don't have to deal with the angst related to rejection.

This story always makes me feel like I'm reading the fairytale that Faith and Buffy never had. I like it when these two are given breaks in life.

I'm back from the dead. Had to reread the previous chapter to jog my memory. Bonus that there's a hot fuffy scene... drool. Anyway, I owe you the reviews for 18 and 19. Those I won't forget. The least I owe you for finishing this story. *Hugs* On to the review!

I like it that even though there was a pending apocalypse, the conversation over dinner prep was so 'normal and domestic'. Nice touch. Too bad they didn't get to eat that lasagna. Must have tasted nice.

Grrrr... Poor Wesley getting stabbed. Thank goodness I already know the ending to this story. And that you're not that cruel to do that to Faith. Does the Mayor have super strength? I would have loved to put him in a metal coffin, then bury him in cement. Let him live forever under dirt or in a dark vault. I'm happy that Faith has learned to love Wesley. You did make it better for her. I wish it was the real thing.

This is one of my feel-good go-to fics. Beach, faeries, moon, Faith, and Buffy. Who can resist the magical setting? I don't think I'll ever get tired of this. Ever.

I loved the faery farts or are those something else? LoL! Have I ever mentioned how I absolutely love the beach? This is one of the fics where there is a beach and the story is just... romantic. I love sappy. Sappy!

Author's Response:

Aw, thank you, topak :)  While I admit I don't really go back and re-read my stuff often, this is one that I'm usually drawn to if I do.  It's no secret that I'm a giant mushball when it comes to Buffy and Faith.  I save the angst for angry days when I can.  :p  Thanks for reading, my friend.  *pets your tail*   :P

Oh no! why did I read this again? It's so beautiful and painful. I've forgotten how you can rip my heart with your words. What I love most about this story is how you describe Buffy through Faith's eyes. So much love and respect. So much sadness seeping out of their world. Despair and bleakness surrounding them, more so when the scoobies died one by one, '... Started falling like rose petals'

My heart feels like it's got a hole now. I has the sadness in me. Bobbi... More? *hugs*

Author's Response:

I'm going to guess for the same reason you reviewed it again...and again again ;)

But you know, from my perspective, you can keep right on reviewing it, especially when you keep right on saying such nice things like the fic is: "Beautiful and painful". I don't ever get tired of hearing stuff like that, then toss in you saying you like seeing Buffy through Faith's eyes, well :)  Add in you even quoted the "rose petals" line...I say: "Read at will, Topak!"

Thanks for the feedback :) : ) :) and I'm sorry you've got the sadness in you...well, sort of :)

I think I first read this back when I was a full time lurker at BnF. Man, I still owe you and all hard-working fuffy writers a lot of feedbacks.

"You’ve only moved a few inches when you feel a strong hand pulling on your shirt, turning you back around and suddenly Buffy’s mouth is on yours, hot and eager. Your ears are pounding again and Buffy’s sucking on your tongue."

I haven't read this in ages. Seeing it now reminds me of why I fell in love with fuffy. I can never resist a one-shot that makes me laugh and eel ummm... bothered.

Thank you :)

Author's Response:

Ha! Thanks, Topak! You don't owe me a thing, but I appreciate your feedback forever and always. :) I'm glad this one tickled your fancy. ;)

One shot based around S8. Buffy has issues, Faith has issues, and Andrew, Kennedy and Willow are fed up with the chosen two's stupidity. Because, obviously, they love each other, right? Wow. Didn't expect that. I had trouble keeping up with the dream sequence. I will have to reread this. or maybe that was your intention? To take us to wonderland, where rain falls upside down. It felt like I was walking down that dizzying hallway alongside them.

I am so used to reading simple story lines that I expected this to follow the usual flow. Glad you made it different. I didn't know where you were taking us. I wish there was more sex involved, but that's just me. Hahaha!

I was laughing a lot, especially when Andrew said that he wrote fan fiction about Buffy and Faith. Made me giggle whenever fanfic was mentioned. I wish I was witness to the eye-sex. Darn. Sometimes imagination isn't enough when you can read them in stories like this.

Author's Response:

Hai! Sorry I've not been on too much, it's been a manic couple of weeks for me, but hopefully I can sort out all my internet backlog and get to reviewing for you guys. :) I did want to make the dream sequence disorientating, but if you found it too strange, I don't mind taking a look to see if it can be straightened out, so to speak.

Sorry about the lack of sex, I promise to write more soon. To be honest, writing those kind of scenes is still new for me. It originally had more detail, but then I freaked and got rid of some of it. I should learn to not freak over it. D:

Andrew and Fan fics - it could happen, jus' saying! But yeah, writing that part was super fun. It's sort of the way a friend and I do things if we're setting each other writing challenges. You know: "Do a fic where they fall madly in love because of this and this!"

Imagination is awesome. It's also a cheap excuse we use when we can't be bothered to write too much of a scene... :P

Thanks so much for the review <3

I was really afraid that Faith was gonna break Buffy's heart after she confessed. I'm glad she didn't. Angst is so unhealthy for anxious people like myself (but I do indulge sometimes :D )

I was scared to make comments cause I've never done it before. But I wanted so much to tell you that I loved this story. Guess this will be the perfect time! I haven't reread this in ages. I vaguely remember the details. Poor memory and all.

Buffy, Buffy, always the center of the universe. I can't even... ! So selfish.

Ok. I love Fuffy. I love Buffy. But I just realized how selfish Buffy is in this chapter. She comes into Faith and Bree's home. And she flirts with Bree's girlfriend... in their bedroom no less. That's kinda low even for you Buffy.

"..."to roll over and thank my lucky stars?"

Ummm... maybe I shouldn't have read that while I am at work. Because... you know... it's making me uncomfortable *cheeks heating up*

Wow. Seems to me like Faith overreacted to Buffy's reply of them taking things slow. I know it's not all right for Buffy to downplay what happened between her and Faith, but she shouldn't just runaway after an apocalypse either.

You know what? If my memory serves me right (probably it doesn't), I remember siding with Faith on this last time I read the story. Wow, old age does change my perception.

LoL! Chunky Monkey sounds great to me Buffy. I'll sit with you as long as there's a tub for me too. So she did go on that date with Satsu.

Poor Bree. Kinda hurtful that she's living in the shadow of Faith's first love.

Faith's an immature asshole. Seriously.

I feel so sorry for Bree. She didn't do anything to deserve that kind of treatment. No one deserves to be cheated on. Least she could have done was break it off first before going on that route.

I'm glad Buffy wasn't there to argue with her. Jealousy is never a good thing, especially if it was your own doing.

Suck it up Lehane.

Ok. This has turned out differently from my memory. I forgot how much of an asshole Faith has become. Why did she cheat on Bree again? What a coward. Couldn't she just break it off?

How old are they around this time anyway? And there goes Buffy contemplating the idea of stripping for Faith. I know that she broke Faith's heart that day, in the past. But really? NO stripping. Maybe I am putting my principles too much on buffy. Fine. Go! Strip!

"Faith approaches them, and Buffy turns her attention to the other slayer. Faith tries to speak, but her face crumples, and she only manages to let out a strangled cry. The slayers fall against each other, kissing hard and desperately. “I love you,” Buffy tells her as soon as her lips are free. “I love you so much, Faith.” ~~~ Sht. The first time I read this I was so torn by the anguish that Faith must have felt. It is a gift that they got to say goodbye before Buffy 'departed'. But it was still goodbye. Forever. Heartbreaking.

The Giles in the other dimensions had been an anchor to the original Buffy. Here, he's providing the same fatherly comfort and support. I'm glad that there is a Giles to care of the displaced Buffys.

When alt+Buffy woke up and couldn't find Faith, it felt like I was reliving chapter 1 of Flowers. Except instead of fear at the loss of Faith, it was anger that Buffy felt when she saw Faith. Such contrast. There was initial relief when all seemed well, but after the realisation hits, all I can imagine is the amount of pain running through the Buffys' hearts.

The loneliness of sleeping alone in a bed after you've slept with someone for years. Heartbreaking. You're cruel for doing this to them. But I like you anyway :P

Author's Response:

Giles is awesome and he should always be around for Buffy! :) I love him. No disappearing acts as he did on the show.

I guess I *am* cruel. Why did you encourage me to write such sad stories instead of that cute happy one? :p

I love how you described everything as they happen. Am I too lazy that I want everything to be said to me? Yes! But it adds to my visualisation when I read your stories. I always like chapters with descriptions written in a way that don't cause me headaches when I read them.

I loved Faith's reaction when Alt+B smiled at her. Imagine the joy(?) that she felt. Also must have fucked her insides up a lot. I mean, how do you even react to a situation like this? And the way Buffy looked at her after she picked up the receiver. It was like she was drinking in the image of Faith. *sigh at the things I can only imagine. Why can't this be real again?

""There’s another round of staring, and Faith speaks first, almost shy now, “In your world, am I good? I mean, you don’t look like you wanna kill me, so…”"" ---- I can imagine Faith saying this meekly. Like a child asking for validation. I feel really sad at how the real Faith turned out.

And those hands on the glass thing. Huhuhu. *wipes snot on nose

Author's Response:

Well, you'll kick my butt if I don't! :p

Canon Faith didn't turn out that badly, if you've read the later chapters. She's doing okay. :)

Sorry to give you snot. :p

Reviewer: topak Signed
Date: 09/23/2013 Title: Chapter 3: Chapter 3

I like how vulnerable Faith sounds even without her trying to be. Calling alt+Buffy like she did entailed a lot of strength. Alt+Buffy knows her so well that she quickly feels the emotions running through Faith. I really wish the real Buffy gave her a chance. It would have turned out differently if that happened. But you are here to right all the wrongs. Aren't you? You're gonna make this Faith feel the love that she deserves, right? RIGHT?!? *holds your chin and pulls it up and down*

Even after reading for like the 10th time, I still bristle whenever I read the parts where Willow pushes to perform the soul switching spell. Argh. Why is this Willow so full of herself? If I was alt+Buffy I would be punching Willow for her selfishness and insensitivity. Except I'm not. Also, she will probably turn me into a rat. But you get my point.

Am I being biased when I say that I feel more sorry for Alt+Buffy than Canon+B? Alt+Buffy lost her soulmate. Death is easier than this torture. You've made her live in a nightmare. Poor Alt+Buffy. You are really awful, you know. Meannie! Kidding. *hugs*

Her and Faith are mourning their losses. Lost in their own little worlds. Then alt+B tells Faith the truth. Just like that, their emotions shift from melancholy to teasing.

"She hears Buffy’s words, but they are not computing.", I would have loved to see the confused look running through Faith's face. The cuteness of these two as they discuss the implications of Alt+B & Alt+F's relationship. “So this means… you’ve seen me naked.” ~ Faith and her priorities. Focus! Haha!

There is so much emotion in this chapter. I wanna crawl into bed and feel sorry for myself, and alt+B and F *ignoring the fact that I'm sick and need to sleep anyway* Where do you get all of these emotions anyway?

Author's Response:

Lol, you are assaulting me over fuffy? Get some perspective, woman.

Willow is an ass when she's obsessed with magic. Sad, but true. Hey, canon B suffered too. You be nice to my canon B. :(

Their emotions are kind of a rollercoaster, aren't they? Well, it's a crazy situation they're in. What would be your first thought if someone tells you they dated the alternate reality you? :p

Reviewer: topak Signed
Date: 09/26/2013 Title: Chapter 4: Chapter 4

“You don’t know her at all, if you think she’s some monster.” Angrily, she steps closer to Willow. “I know who she is, who she really is deep down. I know her like I know myself, and there is nothing you can tell me that would make me turn my back on her.” Buffy finishes, “like you said, Will, I’m not going anywhere. So deal with it or don’t, but don’t try to stand in my way. Not about this.” ~~ I loved this part. Way to put Willow in her place. She's been possessive with her Buffy. Now she's trying to be overprotective and possessive of Alt+B. *karate chop

The part where Dawn and Giles sit down after the Willow walk-out, that's new (from the version I read). I loved it. Hahaha! I love that Dawn wasn't being huffy after finding out that B was gay, and in love with her F.

Funny. I just realised that Alt+B is doing to Faith what Willow did to her. Alt+B was pushing her ideas on Faith, and expects Faith to understand and accept. Initially I thought it was ok because I really do feel sorry for Alt+B. But in retrospect it wasn't. No matter how much Buffy thinks that Faith should be out there doing the world a service, it is right for Faith to redeem herself the way she chooses to.

Sweet of Tara to order that sketch from Angel. I'm sorry Alt+B, the Wonderbrat has this habit of making her protagonist suffer. Don't worry. She will make you happy... Eventually. If not, I'll tickle her till she says sorry.

Author's Response:

I loved that part too, with telling Willow off! I love strong Buffy, especially when she's right. That part was fun to write.

The part with Giles and Dawn was new, yeah. :) I felt like it was a weird transition, so I added that in.

If you're not nicer to me, I will flick your horns and then I will make Alt Buffy cry and cry. Or I'll change this into a bangel story. >:)

*Time Jump* Are you gonna give us flashbacks anytime soon? :D

I liked that Buffy and Faith spent some quiet time in the porch. Tara joining them makes me like her a lot, because she doesn't add to Faith's feeling of being unwanted.

The Hotel California lyrics made me laugh. I learned to listen to those songs from my uncle.

I liked the moment they shared at the porch. It seemed tender, the silence between them. I don't know. There's something to be said about sitting down with a friend, and not talking. Just enjoying the company of each other... catching up. Yeah, I know they talked. But it felt like they were also allowing each other to adjust to the feeling of being together. Is that crazy?

I wonder if Willow will be all self-righteous when she sees Faith.

Also, peeping Amy is icky. Killing a bird just like that. So evil. Please put Faith in the same bedroom as Buffy? *wishful thinking*

Author's Response:

Lol. I don't think there will be any flashbacks! I'm sorry to disappoint you. :p

I think your thoughts about the porch scene are on point. These two feel at ease around each other, and that's probably a direct result of Buffy's attitude. Buffy can't see Faith as threatening or untrustworthy. She's just positive and caring, and Faith picks up on that and adjusts accordingly. Faith's kind of a high strung person, but Buffy's really grounding for her.

I don't think she's going to be in the same bedroom yet. :p

Love how it's so natural for Buffy to be around Faith. And there is no pressure coming from her at all, even though she's obviously raring to be all touchy with this Faith.

I wouldn't have had the same self-control as her, but I guess Buffy knows well enough that rushing Faith into anything is not really the best approach.

Love how Faith is hesitant around Buffy, but doesn't runaway from the opportunities presented to her.

Author's Response:

Well, she learned that lesson the hard way with her pushing Faith about prison. :( But she is a very patient and understanding person anyway. And if she's waited this long, why rush it?

Glad that Dawn is ever supportive of her sister. The other Dawn was a brat!

I don't like Spike even if he hasn't done anything bad to Buffy or Faith. I cannot separate how icky he has been in other stories I've read. I know... Bad. Haha! I do like that he was around to help Buffy though. And that Buffy has some empathy for him. I wonder if it were to happen, would Spike really save Faith first? It would be like Alt+F allowing Alt+B to jump into that portal just to save Dawn.

Like I told you in our discussions, I really enjoyed the scenes after Tara, Faith, and Marcy entered Amy's lair. It was full of suspense, and I was kinda tensed reading through the whole thing.

I felt awful for the dead witches. Amy is a cruel bitch. Killing them wasn't enough huh? She had to trap then in this plain so she can exploit them further. Crazy B!tch... Errr witch! I have to admit, she is a formidable foe, that Witch. Man... She can kill F or B in an instant. Can't imagine how Buffy is gonna get back at Amy for barbecuing her soon to be gf. Made me laugh when Marcy 'appeared' out of the blue after Buffy left. Then she goes to give Faith some dating advise. I think these two will become future bffs :P LoL

I really enjoyed this chapter because I am all about light and easy fuffy. Absolutely happy that no Amy appeared, and no drama occurred. Best of all, there was a lot of kissing and groping involved. Yes! I loved that part the best. I know you hate it when I complain about the almost sex, but this one had a good ending because [a] they didn't have a fight or hurt each other, and [b] there was ice cream to be had.

:D

Author's Response:

Haha, gross indeed. Please don't mangle your fingers for fic. It's not worth it!

Amy will be back unfortunately. :p I'm enjoying writing Marcie in this fic. She's an unrepentant pest, but she's also brave and helpful. She's like Anya with more social skills and less annoying heterosexuality. :D

I like the role reversal between B/F here too. Funny how Buffy played the pursuer in both of these fics to different results.

Hey Brat,

I'm back to resume my duty as your number one irritant ;D Did you miss me? Bwahaha.

Like I said when we talked, I really liked the pace of this chapter. It had me on the edge (even though I was lying in bed :P). It started out like really light, with Ayan and Dawn talking about a boy, then things escalated quickly from there.

You had me questioning the Willow's 'supposed' action. But I wouldn't have predicted Tara as the victim of mind control. So unexpected! Yes, I am sure that Willow is blameless. Her actions in the last section showed her innocence.

I would have loved to see where Faith was taking Buffy!!! Darn. Now we'll never know about the romantic crap Faith's planned for Buffy.

“I’d really, really like to see you getting romantic by yourself.” Hahahaha!

I cannot wait for the next chapter. I wanna see how Faith's absence will affect her relationship with Buffy. This is gonna be goooood :D

Author's Response:

Hey Butt,

How could I not miss my number one irritant?

All of them fell victim to Willow's memory wiping spell in Season 6, so there is definitely precedent for what she alleges happened here.

I can't wait for the next chapter too! Did you finish writing it yet?

WAIT. I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE WORKING ON IT? OH NO. D:

Yay!!! Welcome back. I'm really happy you've finished this chapter. I thought I needed to fly to your home and tie you in front of the laptop. *Phew. Saved money!

After reading only a few paragraphs, I'm again reminded of how well you write. The sentences flow nicely into each other. I loved the smooth transition between paragraphs. You did write with sufficient details! I can still picture the characters, the cabin, Faith opening the canned food, the basement, the washer... and the sex. Hahaha!

Willow and Faith alone in that cabin!!! I loved this part the most---
“That was a long time ago,” Willow answers, containing her wince.
“So was high school,” Faith says.

I'm glad that Faith stood up to Buffy. And that she was smart enough not to argue with her over the phone. I liked how she handled her conversations with both Willow and Buffy. Shows that she's matured, is not so impulsive in her reactions.

I'm liking how everything that's happened in this chapter. Willow not coming home with Faith was unexpected. I thought she'd come home, given Tara's back to her old self.

Buffy and Faith having sex at dawn, in the basement, on a washer... Unexpected. But so believable. This two were ready to pop. You should have turned on that washer. :P

Author's Response:

Haha. Jeez, threats even when I post, huh? Mean little devil.

I didn't turn on the washer because it was supposed to be a sweet scene, in spite of the use of props. :p I think Alt B is a good influence on Faith, plus she's had her time in prison. Season 7 Faith did have a better head on her shoulders, and without Buffy flying off the handle, she's able to keep it that way. :)

It's funny that you like the Faith/Willow scenes. They were hard for me to write because I really dislike Willow. :p But at least they came across well. Now are you going to fly over to get Chapter 13 done??
