To writers like yourself who continue to provide us humble readers with content, we salute you! This year has been unequivocally crap, but having stories to escape into has been a blessing! 🤗
Even though I knew this fic was coming it still caught me off guard during the week. I relished the fact it took me a few days to get through. Steeping me into a lore we've convinced ourselves is the true cannon, decades after this show has been over.
I'm a fan of Faith vs Satsu sub-narratives, that thread of jealousy is so rich. This was a well formatted adventure that made me think all the characters were genuinely in danger 80% of the time 😲
You've inspired me to have a crack at writing again over the Christmas period. I'm nowhere near as talented as yourself and the other writers, but I'll give it a good go. If the story comes out good enough, I'll post it.

Thank you! The pandemic totally motivated me to write again after several years of barely writing anything. The complete lack of any social engagements, plus the fact that I used to travel for work and now I don't leave home completely freed up my schedule.🤣 So for me, the year has been a bit less crappy than it otherwise would have been.
It is pretty amazing that there are still people interested in writing/reading not only for BtVS in general, but for our relatively small part of the fandom. Do you have a plot bunny you've had waiting in the wings, or are you starting something completely new? I admit to being somewhat weird in that I don't usually read much fic (or at least I don't anymore, I used to), but if you post something I'll definitely check it out!!
I too like the Faith jealousy re: Satsu. I guess the comics were good for something...

From one great story straight into another! This setup is amazing so original that I can't wait to see how this plays out. Definitely thinking the pills is a key thing here... Maybe Faith thinks she's mentally unstable? That demons aren't real so is getting treated? Kinda like when Buffy was committed, but Faith's an outpatient? Or this is someone else pulling the strings? Either way I love how undeniably attracted Faith and Buffy are to each other. Please don't blindside me and it turns out Faith's a player... That would make me sad.

I was half right! Gotta love a good slayer sacrifice. Wasn't expecting the ambush, very left field and exciting! Interesting to see how the tables turned with Kennedy teaching Faith the ropes. She's good at that, but what an a'hole. Sometimes I wonder how/why she managed to get with Willow. They are so different people.
Can't wait for the next chapter, I hope Faith doesn't get too injured trying to help save Buffy. I guess the still have a matter of getting to the docks first and maybe divising a plan.
I'm sure we'll find out in a bit, but I'm curious what breed of demon Deke is going for.

It was really fun writing Faith as the less experienced one, and how the different younger slayers would react to her/train her. I think Kennedy is a bit of an asshole, but her teaching style is probably influenced by the on the job training she got from Buffy (remember the "you're all going to die" speech?). Rona is going to appear more, starting next chapter, and I think she's been able to grow up from the sarcastic brat we initially met in Season 7, whereas Kennedy has been basically in Buffy's shadow for most of the time, so she's had a different experience.
The plot is definitely going to kick into high gear with the next chapter, so I hope you'll still be liking it after that one. :) It'll be up shortly.

This comment cracked me up. :) I haven't received any hate to date, which has surprised me lol. I don't know that I've read anything that killed Buffy either--I'd probably usually avoid something with major character death (although in this fandom, I'd be willing to do it because dead usually doesn't stick haha).
I'm the same (little bit evil) person I always was... :p I've just moved on from killing other characters to killing the mains now. Maybe the evil has intensified a little bit. :D
