XD Oh man, can't believe you didn't continue this. I always like reading season rewrites for Buffy and Faith because they are all done in a different way so that you never know what is coming and I have been looking for a season 6 rewrite that actually has Buffy dying and Faith having to fill her place as slayer until she comes back and wanting to see where that leads. But this is the first one I have ever read. I would say that yes there is interest to see what else is written, but only cause I am a greedy reader. Great writing! :D

Awwwww, that turned out being a lot more reomantic than I envisioned it to be. I mean I knew they loved one another, but I didn't know if Faith would take that final plunge and I am glad she did. Great writing. Write more please. :)

Like this story. Most season 3 rewrites I have read tend to either make Faith not evil or start at the beginning of the season before she went evil, but you are beginning in media res and I think you're doing it super well so far. Bravo. :)

This story might be old and not how you write anymore, but I don't hold it against you. The dialogue is entertaining and I loved watching Faith rationalising why she was going to win. Great work. :D

Interesting. Liked the fact that you didn't make Faith not evil, but took a different route with her rehabilitation. That is a novel way to rewrite season 4 that I havent seen done by anyone else so bravo on that score. Writing was also very good as well. Good work. Keep it up. :)

It's wonderful that Joyce is taking care of Faith now. She always needed a mother figure I think and it was tragic that she lost that with Joyce because of what she did, but second chances, right? Good writing. I think there were some errors in the beginning, but nothing that crippled the reading experience. Just be cautious of those things. :D

First of all, I would like to congratulate you on writing this all in second person. It is definitely the hardest of the points of view to write. First person is the easiest and I find that most of the stories that are in first person are either not as well written as one in another point of view or tend to be more a personal reflection of the author's character than the characters the author is trying to portray. But you did well here. So congrats! I do have to say though that I was a little confused at certain points as to who was talking and what was going on, but then I read slower and picked up the natural yin and yang of the back and forth between Buffy and Faith so that wasn't an issue. Just be cautious of it if you have a character speak twice in a row to make sure we know who is talking. I gleamed from the piece that Faith had died, not Buffy? Is that correct? I like that twist on the idea because it changes Buffy's perspective. Write more please. :)

Oh man...such a hard hitting chapter. Gotta tell you, I got this crazy happy smile on my face when the automated message came over the phone saying that Faith was calling the Summers house. It was just soo cute and so something I think the Faith from the show would have done if she thought Buffy truly cared for her and she had confirmation of that you know? "This is the end she never saw coming. Death isn’t the great unknown—not for slayers. When you spend night after night chasing it, courting it, flirting with it, you don’t fear death. But this wall she can’t break through, this separation she can’t find and beat and kill and fucking slay, this, she never imagined. Her mind gallops forward, the future here unfolding before her. It’s a cemetery filled with open, yawning graves, and all of them are for her. It’s gone. It’s all over. Everything she loved and dreamed, falling from her fingers like damp earth dropped to a lowering coffin."--loved that paragraph. It is just worded so beautifully and it so simply captures the life and death mentality of a slayer and how even they are still human and not fully prepared for situations like this. Just such great sentences. You almost make me want to frame it! XDWhen I read the line about Buffy confessing to have killed Allen Finch, I did a double take and reread it just to make sure I was getting it right. I had expected huge differences in the two worlds, but not that. I never even imagined that and to have this Buffy here, admitting that to Faith, and that the only difference between her and cannon Faith was that she had people to love her and guide her, just broke my heart cause that is the thing in the series. Faith and Buffy are meant to be the flip sides of one another, the dividing difference is that Buffy came from a background where there was love and that was what made the difference in their lives. And I don't think it has ever so blatantly or poignantly been driven home than in that moment. That was...just wow. Good work.  Then the afterwards, when Buffy tells Faith that they are not interchangeable gave me a whole new respect for Alt-Buffy. When I started reading about this Alt-Buffy at first, I so thought this cannonical world was going to eat her alive because she is so much softer than cannon Buffy, you know? But she does have strength in how you've written her, serious, individual strength that is independent of her circumstances and is completely her own and I loved how you wrote that so wonderfully in that line where she talks about the two faiths and how, "there aren't words in the English language" to describe how Buffy felt about her Faith, it was just so true to what you've written these two Alt-characters having together that just that one line really makes it clear how much the Alt Buffy and Faith love one another. And it is just so heartbreaking. This is one of the best compliments I have ever given any writer, but those words literally just hit me like a stake in the heart and that is a compliment because that one line was the longest short line in the history of fanfic because of all of the emotion crammed into it. It was just wow. This update was just wow. Keep it up. Now that you've raised the bar unintentionally I am so going to expect lots from you in the future. No pressure or anything. ;) Great work.

Sorry, I haven't really reviewed this story much lately and all I can say to justify it is nothing. I have been faithfully reading along though whenever the time is available and so far have loved every gracious minute of it. I did wonder how Buffy would adjust to this new Faith and vice versa, but it seems they are working through it swimmingly. Like the Amy twist, having her be the villain instead of just writing a repeat of season 7. Also like that Willow went against everyone's wishes and still lost herself to magic even without losing Tara completely. Keeping Tara around is always a good choice and it is clear that Willow deserves some or maybe all of the criticism she has been firing at Faith. Looking forward to more soon. :)

That's okay, no worries. :) Glad you are enjoying it. I debated on using the Season 7 storylines, but I basically hated the season, so I couldn't bear the thought of having to refresh my memory on the episodes and work within them. :p I think this storyline actually paints Willow less sympathetically. In canon, Tara's death was devastating to us too, so you could emphathize at least somewhat with her going off the deep end. Here, they did lose their Buffy, but really she's just drunk with her own power and willing to do whatever she wants. I agree on keeping Tara around (damn you, show!). :D

Finally! I thought you'd died. XD Glad to have you back with us and writing Fuffy again. Liked this chapter and of course that Buffy and Faith do finally get the nasty going on.
