I think that I read this around six or seven years ago, and I wanted to finally stop by and tell you how beautifully written this is. The plot, the characterizations, the romance. This is so goddamn good. I loved your bringing Anya back, and I love how this is *exactly* what I could see happening if they really did a Faith spin-off (and had the balls to pair her with Buffy because even though it needed to happen, it probably wouldn't have in canon). But as much as I love everything about this story, you know what made me come back to it? The music. I usually don't do suggested listening for fic, but man, am I glad I did here. You gave me some extremely awesome listening material, stuff that I still love, and a few songs that always make me think of the scenes attributed to them (So I Thought and Flames... My God). Literally yesterday I was listening to Change by the Deftones and thought about the scene in the warehouse and the rest of the fic and immediately had to come find it again. As much as I wish season two would continue, I understand all too well how hard finishing or going back to old fic after your inspiration dies out can be, so I don't bame you one bit and I am super happy with how this leaves off no matter what. So thank you for writing such a wonderful fic, one that I still come back to and think about years after!

I don't know why it took me so long to read this but I'm SO GLAD I DID. MY GOD. Buffy immediately knowing something was off because Faith stopped flirting with her😂 the conversation on the bed, Buffy's encounter with Diana, Willow guiding Faith back from the brink, I have so many FEELS! I am excited to see that the latest chapter was recent so I can't wait for the remainder even if it's just some good old fashioned and well deserved sexing for our girls! This is so damn lovely and I can't tell you how much I love this, you are such an incredible storyteller that I honestly just read this in one sitting. Okay I'm going to take a breath now but thank you! I can't wait for more!

Hey! Sorry for my late response. For once I have a kind of good excuse, because you left this message shortly before my wedding, then I went on my honeymoon, then we went into a global pandemic. D: D:
You should write a first date fic! :) Probably not a direct sequel to this in case I ever want to do so? That said, I haven't thought about what their first date would look like, lol. I would probably include slaying hijinks though. A date interrupted by demon emergency is very Buffy, and I feel like that would continue.
I have the opposite problem when it comes to plot. I have so many damned plots in my mind. I think of something, get excited, pump out like 3 or 4 chapters of it, and then I just get distracted and stop writing. So I have in my 'ongoing' folder, three multi-chapter stories in various stages of completion, the final chapter of The Other Woman, and the sequel to Shot in the Dark. Then in my 'on hold' AKA basically abandoned folder, the Omega sequel, prequel to Flowers for a Ghost, and two started but abandoned planned multi-chap fics. I am basically #fail at self-discipline. Also for this reason I won't commit to collaborating on anything. I would flake, with 100% certainty, and I don't want to do that to you! Happy to chat anytime and I followed you on twitter, but fair warning I basically do not use it anymore. But DM me anytime-- I think I have notification set up... think... :D
