I know their jerkiness is realistic for the Scoobs, but I still kind of hate them. Faith's awake now, so what do they propose happen? Turn her over to the council? They must know that's a horrible idea. We're talking about the people that put slayers through life or death tests, and fired Giles for helping save Buffy's life. See if I forgive you when you go crazy, Willow the great jerk!

As you might expect, I also hate Riley. He wasn't even around when Faith was awake, so he should shut his pie hole and trust Buffy to know what she's doing.

I'll admit though, having no contingency plan sounds kind of stupid. I mean, not to me, because I know it's gonna work out and they're gonna ride off into the sunset together (RIGHT??). But to the Scoobs, it must seem crazy.

I love Tara, in her one speaking line, she just gets right to my heart. She'll talk to Willow for Buffy, because she cares about their friendship, even though she must have just met Buffy. Tara is so wonderful and sweet. More Tara I say! Also, more Faith! Looking forward to awkward B/F interactions coming our way. Also I give you kudos for recognizing that Faith would require recovery time, even if she is a slayer. :) More! Mooooooooore!

You said there would be no intrigue, but I'm intrigued. :) I like this demon-forced hanging out they're going to have to do. Also the red panties. :p Poor Giles. I wonder how much of these symptoms they're going to report to him tomorrow? :p 

It's going to be an interesting conundrum for Buffy too, with Angel in the picture.

You know, I think I'm with Faith on the dog thing. Yes, he ate the dinner and he destroys stuff, and makes a nuisance of himself in most ways but... he's a family member! D': They can't get rid of him! It's just wrong!

I liked the touch about Faith needing to be held after having sex. It's very sweet and really illustrates their emotional connection. :)

I hate Kennedy with the passion of a thousand suns. Not because of this, I just mean in general. So maybe I'm biased, but it feels oddly in character for her to act like this. :p 

Just to show you I'm not a one trick pony tho, I totally hate Faith here too. She is way off base in how she talked to Buffy. Wanted to kick her. 

Yay! Buffy to the rescue! Gotta love Faith's attitude. That kiss was for a stubbed toe? Hahah. :p This was a perfect amount of sweet, plus take charge Buffy, whom I love. :) 

Hmm, the mind of Beergood is an interesting place... :p Character death, literally transforming into some sort of Hell's Angel, this fic was crazy. But crazy good. I LOVED it! The tail was fantastic, and I was oddly amused by Buffy nailing the slayervore right in the snout with her knife. Also loved the idea of Faith just picking the demon up, flying up several stories and dropping it to the ground. Awesome new power. :D It was cute, it was weird, it was funny. Bravo. :)

I'm glad I nagged you to upload this fic. :) off to a great start here. I liked the idea of the spell not working because Faith is THE slayer now and they'll need her help. I share Willow's reservations about Xander being under cover though. He could get hurt. :/ I hope Riley won't play that much of a role here for obvious reasons. :p Interested to see what happens when they spring Faith. :)

Great chapter! :) I hate Willow, although that's a pre-existing problem. :p I was a little confused about the necklaces. Didn't Giles point out that prison couldn't actually hold Faith, and she was clearly staying of her own free will? Why would she need to be on lockdown now? I didn't like Buffy in that moment when she grabbed Faith and then didn't care at all that she hurt her. At least Joyce seems happy to see her. 

"Faith is pretty sure that Ginny and Evie never tried slayer healing like she and Buffy just had." OR DID THEY? Oh wait, this isn't that kind of fandom. I'll just be over here in the corner with my bad jokes. :p 

I hope Faith snaps out of the Buffy induced haze before calling Angel. Don't tell him about advanced slayer healing through les sex! Damn girl, that's cold. :) I've never thought about twins being called as slayers before. I know it wasn't the point of the story but I thought that was pretty cool. Although they have evil sounding names. Probably because they sound British, and British teens are uniformly evil as I have learned from movies. *ducks Dylan's shoe with GW style grace* 

My ramblings aside, I loved this. I am awed by your fast writing ability. :) I am so happy to see you posting again! I loved the insight into Faith's background and the magnetic theme throughout. You are so good at injecting the funny into even sweet and wonderful scenes like here. I refuse to believe this is an all slayers phenomenon and not a Buffy and Faith and okay those twins that one time thing. Kennedy is not healing no one, no how, is what I'm saying. :p

I know it's not the point, but I like the Scoobies new lives as party animals. It felt like them somehow to be out drinking all the time, haha. I knew from the first fic that Faith was handling things just right, giving Buffy just enough lead, but it's interesting to see how aware she is of that. She's so slick. :p

So, where's part 3?

Why did you encourage me to go and get depressed when you know I'm trying to finish Girl?? If everybody dies next chapter, you know who to blame! :p

I liked this. Using sex as a way of delving into Faith's self hatred was cool and I don't think I've read it done before, so I really liked it. It's interesting how out of sync the two of them are (both here and in canon). Faith reads so much into Buffy's actions, which I think really speaks to how deep her feelings for Buffy are. Her whole concept of self is based around how Buffy sees her. It's just so sad that she doesn't see that Buffy taking this step with her is (my interpretation anyway) about forgiveness and understanding and how much Buffy cares about Faith. Buffy's uncomfortable because she sees that she could have been in Faith's shoes, so her avoidance issues aren't totally or even mostly about Faith, but Faith always takes things personally. If she wasn't in such a terrible place, she could think rationally about Buffy. I thought for a moment there she would, but then you yanked the rug out from under me, and killed my happy feelings. :( 

Now I need you to go write the happy sequel, okay? I'll wait... :D

I loved every bit of this fic from start to finish. Buffy visiting Faith in prison is one of my favorite things to see, both because they need to make peace and because I love the image of two people who are so physical being forced to sit still and just talk to one another. My favorite was the visit after Joyce's death. I loved Faith's condolences, and Buffy's subsequent freak out. I also loved Buffy telling Faith to come home, because there's no question of where home is. Sunnydale was never her home in the past, but this relationship that's formed with Buffy is so strong that going where Buffy is is going home. To put that in a super clunky way. But I squeed and I aw'd through the forgiveness and the smoochies and the love.

Very good story, very believable and in character and wonderful and warm. Now write more! And if you kill Willow next time, I won't complain. :D

So sweet! You surprised me because I wasn't expecting that they had previously broken up. I liked the portrayal of Buffy as becoming more reclusive and I suspect depressed, while Faith admits to the same. I got a sense of Buffy's feelings without dwelling on them. Happy they got back together too! :)
