This was a really fantastic read - I've been out of the fandom for a while now, but I'm slowly finding my way back and I had a lot of fun reading this.  Not many stories even reference "Ted," much less use it as a plot point, and the way that Faith confesses to Finch's death feels a lot like the way it should have been.  And I'd pay to see season three end with them fighting together!  All in all, loved it and thanks for sharing a great story! :)

Author's Response:

Hey, a review of this old thing. :)

Thank you very much- 'Ted' is a bit of odd episode in that nobody seems to reference robots again until well into S5, never mind the fact that for a whole day everybody thought that Buffy had killed somebody- a human- and were...kind of okay with it.

I mean, they were shocked but understanding, especially Giles, and then Faith does the same thing (only for real) and Buffy never even thinks to...urgh, its frustrating sometimes. :(

I like Faith's arc but I'll always maintain it was preventalbe right up until 'Enemies', or possibly even 'Choices'...and I too like the idea of Faith and Buffy fighting side by side against snake-Mayor and Mr. Trick.

I'm half-heartly considering a follow up, something nice and light when my main fic gets too angst-y. Possibly a Faith POV trying to woo a college-going Buffy set during early S4. :)

Again, thanks very much for your kind words, it gives me a happy. :)

I just burned through this entire series in two days, because I literally couldn't stop reading it.  I'm not good at reviews, but I had to leave one for this series - it was everything a great story should be.  Funny, sad, full of action and adventure and heartbreak.  This one-shot was the bow on top, tying everything together and reaffirming that while the two Buffys wouldn't ever go home, they were exactly where they belonged.  It's the kind of ending that makes you feel better for reading it, like your favorite characters have been gingerly returned to your shelf to wait for their next adventures.

Which is my long-winded way of saying that I was blown away by this series, and I couldn't be more impressed!  Thank you for sharing such amazing writing with all of us. :)

Author's Response:

Thank you very much! :) Very glad you liked it so much. There is at least one other sort of related piece that I was going to write for this series. We'll see if I ever get it done. I am curious from the perspective of having read it all together, did you prefer Flowers or Girl, or were they about equal? You do have the advantage of knowing that Buffy and Faith in Flowers turned out okay now, but for a long time the ending to Flowers was very open. You read them in order? :) Thanks for reading/reviewing! I hope to have something new to post soon.
