"Wasn't sure the roller was on right, so I gave it a coupla practice swipes. Mighta used your head." That made me laugh embarrassingly out loud. Even if I'm not a Satsu-hater, I was totally cheering for Faith pretty damn hard.
Great story!
Author's Response:Hi! I'm so glad you liked the story! Secret confession: I'm not really a Satsu hater either, I just played one for this fic.
Consider us even -- your feedback has me smiling embarrassingly out loud.
Thanks! :) :) :)
that was freaking awesome!!!!!!
Author's Response:So is this feedback!!!
I love that you liked the fic!
Thanks for the feedback :) :) :)
Absolutely, positively fantastic!!! Wonderful story. I loved every bit of it :)
Author's Response:Hi there! :)
I am so excited and happy you liked the story! :) :) :)
Nothing better than words like: "fantastic" and "wonderful" to make me smile for days on end.
Thanks for the feedback!!!
welling up at work. always a good look. and a good sign of a wicked good story. ah bobbi, you always bring the special stuff. i flew through that because the words just flowed so well together. simply lovely.
Author's Response:Okay, yes. Technically speaking, welling up at work isn't the look most people go for, but on you? You are totally rocking it! ;)
I could do my own version of the Snoopy Dance, I'm so happy you liked the story. What's "simply lovely" is your feedback.
Thank you, MWF! :) :) :)
# Spring
OMG Bobbi! Forgive me for the delayed review. I am behind on everything these days. I finally read the story the other day. Aaaaaaah!!! Yes I am extremely flaky right now. I was gushing the whole time that I was reading the story. Gushing and laughing and missing you all together. I wish every month was your friend's birthday. Cause a girl can get used to reading stories like this. *I'd like to think this is life's gift to me, my birthday is next week. Cough.
Have I told you that I loved the story? I think Bikini Fic has a competition here. So does Whirlwind. Hmmm... they don't have to compete. They are independent of each other. And I love them AAAALLLL. Ok, I am getting out of focus. Back to the story.
Why did you publish this as a one-shot? It feels like 4 chapters to me. Aha!!! I will review it per season. How about that? It's because there are so many things to quote here. I was laughing so hard in between the excited, tingly feeling I get whenever I read something fluffy, fuffy. Oh how I've missed your writing and your sense of humour.
Buffy is such an oblivious person. Setting her eyes on smarmy Satsu was a bad idea. But we all make mistakes Buffy. LMAO! Did Xander tell Faith about Buffy's plans? Cause really, he's such a gossip. I love it whenever Faith shows up to save Buffy from her plan to proposition to Satsu. Clocked her she did. No one can beat up the original two. Especially not Faith when she's protecting her territory.
To be continued :) Gotta prepare for my flight!
Author's Response:Hi, Topak!
Stop being so silly, there's no time period for giving feedback.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY...UPCOMING!!! I hope you have a great time and get lots of presents. And cake :) :) :)
I'm so happy you liked the story! I see what you mean about breaking it down into four chapters, but I was so focused(and excited) that the site would take the whole fic as a one-shot. Boom! It's posted! It's done!
Yeah, Buffy was a little bit...shall we say: "confused"? She finally woke up and smelled the coffee, saw the writing on the wall, saw the Christmas trees for the forest.
Yep, Xander did place a phone call to Faith to tell her to come home for Yard Clearing Day. They're best buddies and he can't just stand by and watch Buffy ride off with the wrong woman!
There's no crying in baseball and no trying to get between Fuffy. Didn't Satsu even notice I was writing a Fuffy fic? Nowhere does it say anything about this being a Butsu story. She should have known better.
Thanks for the feedback and I hope you have a wonderful trip :) :) :)
I don't think Kennedy had a single speaking line, which is the mark of a great fic, in my humble opinion. :D While I was reading, the seasons theme seemed very subtle, not like beating me over the head. I totally forgot there would be something about seasons, because I was so thoroughly entranced. I loved Faith's character here. She was very subtle in how she wormed her way into Buffy's affections, just steadfast and thoughtful and finally Buffy noticed all those fantastic little things she was doing.
You made Willow and Xander very likeable, as you always do. They felt like them, but like the very best of them, when they're cute and sweet and yet also willing to go for tough love. They were wonderful. *leaves for a few moments to write a strongly worded email to Joss Whedon on the bs that was season 7* Ahem. Poor Satsu got the bad end of the stick here, but I'm on Team Faith so I can't bring myself to care. :p
I loved also the inclusion of Joyce in both the Jeep talk and the Christmas decorations. It felt just right. Although now I'm thinking of Dawn. Was she there? I don't recall if she was mentioned other than in Rome.
You did make me really homesick for traditional change of seasons though. :( But don't worry, you can make it up to me. My birthday's in May. :D
Author's Response:HAHAHA!!! Kennedy haters untie!
Season 7 haters untie two!
There seems to be a lot of hate in this feedback to your feedback. Feedback haters unt...Okay, I'll stop now. :D
Yeah, Satsu did sort of get a rough deal, but if you try to get between the Fuffy, it's not going to work out so well for you. At least not in one of my stories.
I'm really glad you liked Joyce's presence, and as for Dawn -- she was mentioned a few times. In the end though, Faith converted her back into a ball of energy and put her on top of one of the trees. I decided to delete that scene.
I totally hear you on the change of the seasons. While we sort of get that here in Gainesville, I still miss the real deal of Michigan. WAAHHH!
I'm really glad you liked the fic and thanks for the feedback! :) :) :)
Oh dear God, do I ever love this story. So sweet and perfect, and made of the same *whatever* magic that makes me tear up at 1am in the grocery store when I've had one too many glasses of wine, find my favorite cereal on sale, and suddenly there's Crosby, Still, and Nash filtering through the speaker system setting off a collective sigh amongst sleepless late-night aisle wandering urbanites....
Our House, indeed.
Author's Response:HAHAHA!!! Is this the funniest feedback ever? I think it just might be. Or maybe it's the cleverest? I vote for a combo winner!
"Our House is a very, very fine house. With two dogs in the yard, Life used to be so hard until the head of the Mob moved in" or something like that :D
I am totally excited that you liked the story so much! :) :) :)
And just for the record: Raisin Bran for me...Unless I'm going bad and grabbing the Lucky Charms or Cap'n Crunch.
Thanks for the great feedback! :)
All I got for my birthday was an evnelope of money. BOBBI I LOVE THIS AND YOU BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY THIS.
Author's Response:Jelly!!!
I'm trying to think of a better compliment than saying all you got for your birthday was an envelope of money......Nope, can't come up with anything.
I'm so happy you liked the story :) :) :) And me, to a lesser degree. You know how I feel about you...Damn this straightness! Grr, arrgghhh!
