Okay, I seriously just need to favorite everything you've ever written and be done with it. Tara/Faith is one of the few non-Fuffy ships in the Buffy-verse that I can sort of stand. I can so easily see Tara being the only Scooby to reach out to Faith, and I can just as easily see Faith responding positively to her kindness. 

One of the things I love most about your writing is how you simplify things. Tara was dead and gone to heaven, she had a choice to come back to Earth, and she took it. We don't really need anymore detail than that, and you recognize that it's not necessary to the story you're trying to tell.

One thing I would've liked to have seen more of was Buffy hugging Tara close and begging her to stay with them, but only because, by that point in canon, Buffy was so closed off from love and warmth that her clinging to Tara, someone she's been close to and confided in in the past, is almost out of character. And I would've loved to have seen Dawn's reaction to Tara's return.

But I digress. This isn't that story.

This is the story of two women whose lives have been turned upside down and inside out by the people of Sunnydale, trying to right their worlds and find comfort in each other, and that is a beautiful story to tell.

I am pleasantly surprised that you keep finding new things to review. :D It's weird that I've written a couple of these Faith with other people stories now, because I actually have a hard time shipping Faith away from Buffy. Buffy I can see with other people (closet Bangel shipper, shhhh), but Faith I struggle with. Tara is easy to ship with others because she has this wonderful warm presence that everyone in the 'verse needs at one point. I think Tara/Buffy would be pretty good too. I could so easily see them growing toward each other in Season 6 as Willow goes off the rails. Maybe I'll write that one some day. :p 

I agree that Buffy/Tara and Dawn/Tara's relationships are so interesting and I love reading them. :) This was a quick story without much time to delve. If I ever revisit it, I will make sure I put those kind of scenes in too. :)
