I like this intro. It sums up everything that needs to be remembered and sets up Buffy's wish perfectly.  It's nice to see Buffy have a little regret after everything, too. I always like stories where Buffy thinks she can change things.

Stand out line: Willow was a bit more sympathetic. “Its okay, Buffy. I miss her too.”

I kind of love that this Buffy nipped things in the bud and fixed things between Willow and Faith right from jump. These little reminders since the sleepover just make me happy.  (But boo to her denying Joyce a taste of ol' Ripper. Heh.)

Yep, I'm always curious why Buffy didn't develop any females friendships in conjuction with Willows. The only other girl she was close to was Tara (from Joyce's death right throught to Buffy confiding in her about Spike...). Buffy wasn't very close to either Cordelia or Anya. I would've liked to see more of a threesome friendship (that came out wrong...) because Willow and Faith could've been great friends. (In fact, they are developing a friendship of sorts in Angel & Faith, so that's something.)

I am in the minority who would've enjoyed the writers exploring the Giles/Joyce relationship further, but I don't think Buffy was comfortable with it.

I really love this story. I look forward to each update. I think you did the fight scenes great and the way you change the path of well known events in the show is always fun and interesting to see. I really enjoyed the first 'more than friends' moment between buffy and faith and it felt really in character - as do all the cast.

Faith and buffys reactions throughout to the not so happy end felt spot on. 

My only criticism is one i brought up before - typos. Theres always several in each chapter and its not the end of the world but seeing as youre delaying updating till your beta is available it seems not exactly worth it when missing words and typos are getting passed your beta. If her life is currently causing too many problems is there no one else you trust to do the betaing? I would happily be your beta if it meant seeing the next chapter up sooner. :)

Thanks for the response- I'm glad you like the fighting stuff, and I'm glad you thought that the 'intimate' moment was in character.

As for the typos...that was kinda my fault, I asked her about it and she got all down on herself and apologetic. So she vowed to sort out some (unnamed) personal stuff and get back to me.

If it was just the spelling I'd gladly accept your offer :) but she's part of the process, she calls me on if a character sounds off and she has a real ear for dialogue that I appreciate. She's also promised to help with the more...intimate parts later on (To put it bluntly she's a lesbian- and I'm a stickler for accuracy so...)

Also, she's not the sole reason for the delays. For Christmas I actually got a surprise gift- 'Go Ask Malice', a book about Faith's time before Sunnydale (I'd never even heard of it before), so I thought I'd give it a read and see if it changes my view of my favourite slayer at all.

After that, updates aplenty, I promise!

The kiss caught me off guard... really it did. I mean i've always known Faith was into Buffy but I didnt see too many signs just yet in the fic thus far. Maybe since it was Buffy POV Buffy was just oblivious? Then again there was a lot of flirting, but Faith always flirts.. anyway...

The action stuff was fun and great. And it is an important part of making a good BtvS story too IMO.. you need a bit of Slayage action otherwise it might start to feel like a romantic sit-com and we'll forget about the constant dangerous lives of our slay girls. I think you did a really good job.

BTW...  it's almost a trope at this point. Buffy and Faith kiss, Buffy freaks the hell out and does/say something stupid, Faith is hurt and all her defences/walls come up and it takes some time and drama to get things fixed between them. Nothing wrong with it, its one of those formulas that are consistent but when done well are still very good. I think you handled it well.

Also... what the hell is the consequense of the 'wish' and the Tattoo on Buffy? That is playing in the back of my mind. I'm guessing at some point everyone will 'remember' everything that happened before or everything will change back. IDK. Good stuff, can't wait to see what's next :)

The kiss...well, from Faith's perspective she's always a bit more impulsive, so a night of heavy slaying plus a pretty girl- I tend to think she'd give into the hornies...if only a little.

Sigh...Yep, it's a trope and a well trod one at that, but I think it's true to Buffy's character. After all when Willow comes out to her in the next season she freaks a little, and this is way more than that. Especially that this is not just any girl but a girl who's tried to kill her (and vice verser)

I promise Buffy and Faith aren't gonna be back to square one or anything, just some additional complications to the unfolding drama.

As for the tattoo...all will be revealed, eventually.

Damn Cordelia and her poor timing, though if she had been 5 mins later she might have walked in on Fuffy sex and that could have ended much worse!!

Oh Buffy, just admit you liked kissing Faith... Lots! Get over your fears and just get with Faith! Maybe talk with Platt (Pratt?) and figure it all out! Then get on with the Faith kissing!!!!

This feels like its going from strength to strength and thats great considering this chapter had the most original content. You write the characterisations incredibly well, i honest to Odin cannot tell the difference between lines from the show and ones youve created. Not just the dialogue either, the way Buffy thinks is very in character and I am loving it big time. :D 

The changes to the events are subtle in ways and sometimes you forget this is a Buffy who's gone 'back in time' and yet are reminded by her haunted memories of one possible future - i really like this concept. My only constructive criticism is to get a beta to weed out typos and missing words as there were quite a few i noticed. Although not story-ruining it can cause the flow to stop when you have to work out what was meant, but its easily dealt with and a fair trade for such an enjoyable story. :)

Can't wait for this sleep over chapter - the possibilites are endless! :p

P.S. The dance scene was sexy as hell and went just far enough to be believable under the circumstances. Kudos.
