I love Cave!Buffy, and I think she sort of does make sense. I think we could interpret the spell the bartender uses as reverting them to how he thinks about cave men, not actually as a historically accurate portrayal. :p Just go with me here.

This was so cute! I really liked that you said the lights were on, Buffy was home, but she couldn't do anything about it. Sometimes in cave slayer fic, she's like totally out of it and not Buffy like in the slightest. Your interpretation I like more.

Good Faith voice too! I especially appreciated her annoyance with Willow. :p

Ha! I like your theory. I can't remember what the bartender's motive was now. He was jealous that the college kids were smart? Something like that. 

I'm glad that you like Cave!Buffy. She was fun to write, as ridiculous as it was. And yeah, I hear ya about other CaveSlayer stories treating her not at all like Buffy, but she's really herself in the episode, just really dumbed down and very much acting on base instinct alone. I thought that would help cut through all the bullshit between her and Faith, because normal Buffy never just comes right out and says what she means where Faith is concerned. And Faith is way too confused by Cave!Buffy for her usual defensiveness. 

I'm glad Willow and Faith worked for you! I needed a villian and Willow was never really on the Faith-train to begin with, so I figured she'd antagonize Faith the most over all of this. What can I say, I had fun with this one! It was a nice break from my usual angst-fests. :P

cave writer did a pretty good job! made mr lol when you got to the willow part of the story, "MINE"! to funny. this was really good.
