Of course there was no way I'd check back to reality without going through Graduation first!

Now I can safely say I am relieved, in any possible way. First because I finished the whole series AND this short story is like the epilogue after the two epilogues. Although I am really fond of your stories, I am good with leaving it there: happy ending in both dimensions.

I'm happy that Buffy and Faith eventually ended up together and that Faith and Buffy are well together. Funny how Tara ends up being Buffy's BFF in one dimension, and dates Amy in the other one (ewww). Also funny that the two Buffys jhave exactly the same concerns about Dawn being away ^^

Plot well constructed, it strats in one dimension, bridges over the two and ends with the other dimension - so clever! :D Thank you for bringing closure to the series in such way.

Secondly because I did succeed that Sunday challenge that you threw to me on Monday - yes I can confirm that I have now read your WHOLE catalogue!! (if you are disappointed in any way let me know I can probably remedy to that :p). That was intense (also in many many ways) and this consequently mean that your mailbox will no longer be spammed everyday by my reviews, I'm sure you'll be thankful for that ;) Thank you for bringing closure to this too. ;)

Up until the dream, I was still convinced that you were gonna bring the Buffy’s back to their home and our Buffy and Faith would finally find each other. But I’m glad you didn’t and stuck with the “Not the ending they expected, but still a happy one” plot! That dream was a really clever way to have them reconnect and finally be at peace with their past, and know that they still found each other in a different way.

I also got a real kick out of “Girlfriend Amy” after the madness of “Big bad Amy”! I appreciate your sense of irony!

I’m sad to say goodbye to these characters and universes, but this is truly a “and they lived happily ever after” moment! Thank you!!!

As much as I love canon B+F together, I think Alt!Buffy and Faith in particular really belong together now. Canon Buffy could love Faith, but I don't know if she'd be able to match the tireless cheerleading type of enthusiasm Alt!B has for Faith. And Faith definitely I think thrived with that kind of love. Alt!B is also more easily able to understand Faith due to having accidentally killed Finch... I'm rambling, but I guess I'm saying my personal OTP in this universe is Alt!B and canon Faith. I think they just work really well, and I love them together. 

Haha. Woot Girlfriend Amy! I honestly don't know if I'll ever get back to it, but there was at least one more little one-shot that was supposed to be set in this universe, and it would be about Marcie. At this point I've probably let too much time go by to ever get back to it, haha. 

I loved all three stories - the one where Buffy went to the alternate universe, the one where alt Buffy came to the regular Buffy-verse, and this one that finally ties in closure for both regular verse Buffy and regular verse Faith (the "originals").

I have to say I was plesantly surprised to see the route you took with those stories. I honestly thought the plot would be regular Buffy trying to find her way back to the regular universe, with the help of alt Faith, so it was a total shock to me that you decided to keep regular Buffy in the alternate universe to strike up a relationship with alt Faith. I don't think I've read a story concept like that before.

You made it work, though! I feel sad about the missed opportunities for regular Faith and regular Buffy, but I'm happy they found happiness with their alternate counterparts.

It's just... so poetic, in a sense, how things turned out for them.

I'm glad they got to have this last meeting in the shared slayer dream. I liked the closure.

0mni!!! You're going way too fast, lol. You're going to be twiddling your thumbs while I meander through finishing The Other Woman. I wish I had more stories for you to review, that's how much I love your reviews!

I think I said at the beginning of Flowers that I was inspired by a really old Wiffy story that I don't think is out there anymore. The basic idea was that the Willow we were watching on the show wasn't the original Willow from this universe. She'd been swapped at some point in the distant past and hadn't known, so in order to restore balance and stop the universe from eating itself (or something), she needed to go back to her own world. Nothing was the same in our fics except the dimension swapping and the idea that in one world, the couple would be together, in the other one they wouldn't, but I did love the idea that this character, finding herself in a different world, has to learn to get along and live with it, and what that looks like in each world. I am actually quite surprised with myself that I ended up finishing these, lol. Girl from Away was the story I really wanted to tell, but I felt like I had to do Flowers to sort of set the scene, and make Alt-Buffy make more sense. So at times Flowers felt like a serious labor of love, haha. I also always knew that I wanted 'our' Buffy and Faith to have a moment. The Alt-B/F missed out on a lot too, but they loved each other so well that I didn't think they had any unfinished business. Our versions needed that closure. More so Faith than Buffy, I think. Buffy had some regrets, but Faith had so much guilt. She needed that closure.

Just finished reading this and Girl From Away. All three stories are so good it almost hurts. So glad that this one shot confirms the happy ending I always assumed from Flowers! I would red anything you wrote, but if you have another story in this 'verse lying around you should totally post it!

You're one of maybe two people who have ever taken the time to re-review my stuff, so basically you're my favorite person right now. :D Did I say there was more for this universe? *sweats nervously* There are two non-Fuffy centric little bits that I wrote some of and haven't finished. One was a Faith and Joyce centric scene, set pre-Flowers that showed how Alt Faith fit in their family when Joyce was sick. The other was Marcie centric, set post Girl with an appearance from Faith and Tara. Maybe someday I'll get around to finishing them. 😬 What I can promise is that I will finish The Other Woman and the other long fic I'm working on. That one was intended to be a Drabble but it's gotten away from me. 😂 It's set post-Chosen but it's an AU in which Faith was never found when she was called. Hopefully these will keep you warm until I (hopefully) produce the other stuff for this verse. :p

Finally got to reviewing your latest :)

Closure! And I thought someone mentioned Faith falling into the dream because of an accident or something. Must have been my wild imagination. But Alt+B asking Tara to do some magic to help Faith and Buffy was totally unexpected. It also works.

For a moment I was afraid (and slightly excited ;) ) that they'd, you know, finally get all the tension out of their system and have sex. But of course that's just my dirty mind. That would be the last path that you'd take given the choice. Hahaha!

I'm glad they're still both happily alive and living 'normally' as couples. 3 years is a long time. Both the Bs and the Fs can finally rest knowing that their 'partners' are safe and happy. Which makes me wonder what the 2nd one-shot is. You did mention 2.

Sorry it took a while. You know how lazy I am these days.

You do have a wild imagination. :p Alt B was getting the short end of the stick by the time I finished the fic so I really wanted to give her a piece of it. :)

I think they're both settled enough in their new lives now, that having them get together in the dream world wouldn't work. I'm glad you liked this because I think I remember you wanted the dream to be for the Alt chracters to be able to see each other again. The second one-shot, if I ever complete it, is Marcie centric, and probably doesn't feature B/F at all. :P So now you're less excited, huh?

Amy.... and Tara.....? Alice, you just broke my brain. And between last night's Carmilla and finals coming up, my brain can't take much more breaking! 

But it is somehow all made okay with this little exchange:

 “Rat girl, I didn’t know you cared.”

“I totally don’t,” Amy says dryly. “Tara just signed my name.”

I wasn't sure where you were going with this at first. It just seemed like a nice happy, fluffy day in the life, and then the dream started. What a beautiful way to finally connect these two worlds, to give our Buffy and Faith the closure they need. I love the transition to the Sunnydale from TGFA, and that the shared dream was Buffy's doing, with some witchy mojo for help. Absolutely lovely story!

That's right, girlfriend!! Amy gets de-ratted and who better to help her adjust to human life again than a sweet, compassionate woman like Tara? Your brain--is it back together??

I debated/was encouraged a little to write the Alt couple meeting instead, but I felt that they had loved each other so well that they didn't have unfinished business to resolve. Canon B/F had unfinished business out the wazoo. Especially Faith. Buffy had made some peace in Flowers by letting go of her anger, but Faith was robbed of the chance to tell Buffy she was sorry. I thought she needed that so I really wanted to write them somehow meeting and being able to know the other was okay, but in a way that didn't diminish the new relationships they have. 

The Alt Buffy being behind it part was a last minute add on, but I felt like it let her show herself as an individual character in the fic. The alt world had a much longer scene, so I wanted something special for Alt Buffy. :) Thank you for reading! Glad you enjoyed!

I loved that they met up in a dream! They were able to sort everything out that way and it seemed to give both of them a little piece of mind. It's intersting show everything kind of came together for both Buffys. They've really worked out being in a place they weren't originally.

Thanks!! The message is kind of that B/F belong together always in all places and they royally effed it up in canon. Placed in other worlds with different versions of each other, they can make it work. :) Canon Buffy/Faith had a really important moment in a dream, so it felt right for them to meet that way. What a wonderful epilogue piece to your stories! Just like that, I'm going to have to reread the both of them. Reading this piece makes me feel like I've played a video game for endless hours and finally, *finally* earned the "good" ending. I certainly hope you have another one of these in your back pocket.
