Two things. One is that HHG is one of my favorite radio serial/book/movies/things of all time. So kudos for including those references! Two, this is exactly how this Faith would react to that news from Buffy. But she can get over it in time I am sure (?). Angst!!

Apparently I never dismissed reading this one! I have to blame the pandemic but in my heart I know I have only myself to blame. But I am actually happy about it? It has been long enough that it feel like reading for the first time again and that is literally the best.

Author's Response:Thank you! Glad you enjoyed! I think the only way I'd do a sequel is if I came up with an organic way to circle back to Wishverse Faith. Several people asked me about her when I was posting Hypno, and I did briefly think about adding her in somehow, but ultimately I thought it might derail the story I was telling here. I have several other fics in the works right now, so I definitely want to finish those up before I add anything else to my to do list! I am currently working on a Halloween fic (fluffy, light on angst), so I should have that done by end of this month. Then I'll go back to my other long story I've mentioned before. :) But I hope this one satiated a bit of your "established relationship" craving, since B/F were together for quite a bit in this fic. :)
Oh I have t mentioned it before, but thank you for having Joyce around in this story; much like Dana from the L Word, I've never really gotten over her death. I loved Joyce so, so much.
That she's being so awesome here is wonderful, and now I want a spin-off with her and her sculptor. ;)
Author's Response:Ugh Dana. No, I can't think about that today and get all sad, haha. Putting it out of my mind. :) I love Joyce so much too, and I think the older I get the more I love her and understand her perspective (even without having kids, which I don't). She isn't perfect, but she does her best and her love for Buffy (and later Dawn) is so clear. Plus I think most adults (parents or not) who are reasonably compassionate human beings and see a teen going through what Faith was dealing with on the show would have intervened. It just doesn't make sense to me. But that's why we have fanfic I guess! To fix all these problems.
Of all the Fuffy I've read (a huge amount, especially from the lost but never forgotten 'buffynfaith.net') this was the most touching, most loving and most heartfelt I've ever seen these two.
It was perfect. I love, so much, that Faith accepted it and said it back and that Buffy isn't jumping to the worst conclusions every time.
