After leaving Sunnydale a smoking crater, the scooby gang sets out to regroup. They're settling into their new home, but Buffy can't shake the feeling that something isn't quite right.

When Faith decides to spend Christmas at the castle, she makes the mistake of helping Giles unload a box of magical artifacts. A harmless talisman turns out to be something quite different. Faith is cursed, or maybe she's not, depending how you look at it.

It's Christmas 2007, and Faith has six days to make a decision that'll change her life.

After Kendra's death, the Watcher's Council is unable to locate the replacement slayer. Six years later, the newly formed Slayer Organization looks for activated slayers and finds someone they aren't expecting. 

This is an AU Post-Chosen fic where the events of canon occurred, just without Faith in attendance. This is a completed story. Updates will be posted each Sunday until we're done.

"Ha ha, good one! You know me. I love to make an entrance," Buffy said cheerfully, standing a few feet away from Faith, looking pale and wearing all different hues of black. "And it has been a while. I thought about paying you guys a visit. But I had a feeling you wouldn't have invited me in."

"Can you blame me?" Faith said, feigning playfulness. "If you were me, you'd have done the same."

"Touché," Buffy said with a disarming smile. "I'm sure that's what I would have wanted."

"Just carrying out your will, V," Faith said, surprised at how steady her voice came out.
